I’ve updated Each Way Sniper extra places with a new feature called EPV (extra place value).

This works out the value of the extra place and adds it on to the rating. This makes it much easier to pinpoint value selections quickly.

Tick show odds in the final 10 minutes before the race starts

This is the same as the Each Way Sniper value strategy. You are only going to place an E/W bet with the bookmaker. There are no lay bets involved.

Over just over 1 month of testing, my results showed a 60 point profit.

Just back it before the race starts and then lay during the race. The other option is to back it once the race starts, and then lay it off later in the race. Backing it like this usually means that you get a lower price.

To make it work, this approach needs a bit of research done on it. Basically, you need to know which horses like to hit the front. Ideally, you will find a horse that likes to stay there for a while. If it only stays in the lead for a short time, your profit options will decrease.

It is also important to know about the other horses in the race. Are there others that will be pushing hard to hit the front? Or is your selection likely to be virtually unchallenged for a long spell?

To find out all of this, you need to research previous races. You don’t want your horse to start off too strongly, though. If it does this, the odds could lengthen. As bettors will realise that it will burn itself outside long before the end.

Lay Front-Running Horses

This horse racing trading strategy has something in common with the previous one. But there are also some differences. In this case, you just look for a horse that is being heavily backed during the running of the race. You then lay it.

This is worth doing when the price gets too short. For instance, a lot of traders might be following the previous strategy and back it. The price needs to be short enough to be attractive. But you need to be careful. If it is extremely short, it might be that the horse is actually looking like winning the race.

Back to lay is the term used when you back pre-race and lay at shorter odds. This is usually done with a horse that starts strongly but doesn’t finish as well. You expect the horse to take up a good position by the half-way mark. But you expect it to not go on to win the race.

The opposite approach is to lay it around the half-way point. You then want to back the horse at higher odds when it falls back later.

Identify Different Types of Horse

One of the secrets is in identifying different kinds of horse. Strong travellers and those that are fast but have a difficult attitude offer good opportunities. Anyone who hasn’t researched them as well as you may back them at the wrong moment.

Then there are hold up horses. These are the runners that tend to hang back until later in the race. Their odds will typically increase at the start of races when they fall behind. But your research will have told you that they have a good chance of finishing strongly.

There are all sorts of horses out there. To trade wisely on them, you need to understand more about them. The greater your knowledge, the more you can expect to earn by trading.

Other Factors to Take Into Account

So far so good, but there is more to look at. The way the race plays out will depend upon a variety of factors. The following are a few of the key points to take into account when trading.

• The weather conditions. Do they suit the horse you are interested in? You need to look at the horse’s record to see how it performs in different types of condition.
• The length of the race. This is especially important when looking at front runners and those who hold back initially. Is the race long enough to make your strategy work? Or is possible that there just won’t be enough time to trade successfully?

As we have seen, there is a range of different skills needed to trade on horses. First of all, you need to be good at researching. Then you need to be able to understand and react to the changing market during a race.

Patience and a cool head are needed. If you rush in, you could lose money or lower your profit. A horse only lasts for a short time, but you need to choose the perfect moment for each action.

After a while, this should become second-nature. There are certain situations that you will see occur over and over again. So, the more you trade the better you should become at it.

You will find this tipster on the Betting Gods site. This is one of the best tipster sites. They gather together a lot of the most popular tipster services. So the fact that he is on here is a good sign right away.

He has been on there since July 2014. In that time, he has become one of the industry’s top names. This is due to the consistent success he has seen.

Enter the Betting Gods website and you will see he is one of their main men. We will look at the exact figures for profits in a minute. For the moment, it is worth mentioning a £15,293.40 total profit to date.

At the time of this Quentin Franks Racing review, his ROI is close to 18%. The monthly profit is £209.50. These are all excellent figures for any tipster to have.

So, he has decent profit levels over a period of time. What else can we find out about him?

What Does It Provide?

This is a tipster who focuses solely on horse racing. In fact, he looks at British, Irish and French races. You can expect an average of 88 tips each month. These tips are sent out by email on the morning of the races. If he doesn’t have anything for a certain day, he will usually let you know the previous evening.

He has also written a series of articles for Betting Gods. His Horses to Follow in 2020 pieces are fairly short but interesting.

Quentin is also behind the QF Value Tips service. This is an evening tips service he started in February 2016. This has also had terrific success. Over £5,600 profit and more than 19% ROI in that time.

I couldn’t find out any more about the tipster’s background. Is he from a horse racing background? Or maybe he had a career with the bookies? Does he work out his tips using a mathematical formula? Or does he have inside knowledge?

I don’t even know if this is his real name. For many people, this won’t be a problem. They just want to see winning tips. But for others, it is important to know more about the tipster.

How Much Does It Cost?

His QF Value Tips service starts off at £1.99 for 15 days too. After that, it is £17 per month. It seems to be cheaper because it provides fewer tips. 36 per month compared to 88 on the main service.

As we have seen, his average profits are over £200 each month. So, there appears to be scope to come out ahead. But before we can say this for certain, we need to take a closer look. Will you make money based on what we can see?

Another section mentions Premium Picks, which cost money. We can also take a look at the tipsters. Then there is a list of bookies and some information on bonuses. If you are new to sports betting some of the details are quite useful.

I could see a few different sports covered. The odds and type of bet also vary quite a lot. The use of many different tipsters helps to add variety here too.

It is a promising start. If you want to see lots of tips, that is exactly what you will find. Let’s go a bit deeper in this Betrush review and see what exactly they offer.

What Does It Provide?

The home page starts off with the Betrush Top 5. It turns out that these are their top tipsters. They are listed in three categories; all-time, last 90 days and this month. At the time of researching this Betrush review, no one was on more than one list.

The figures for these tipsters are decent but not spectacular. I will look at them in depth a bit later in the review.

The next section is called Active Picks. These are tips for games today in the next few days. I could see about a dozen for today (it is quite late in the day). Then there were 4 already up for tomorrow as well. So a shortage of tips doesn’t look like being a problem here. In fact, choosing the best ones is probably a bigger issue.

Each tip has the following headings.

• Game. A symbol at the start shows you the sport, followed by the name of the participants. I could see mainly football, with UFC and some baseball. The variety was quite good, with footie from Italy, Brazil, the Faroe Islands and Sweden coming up.
• Pick. This tells you what to bet on. Some are straight home/away or draw bets. Others cover over/under goals, both to score etc.
• The tipster. You can see who is offering the tip. This gives you a link to their own profile. I could see a variety of tipsters, rather than just the same names on all the tips.

If you click on the game link, you can see a preview of it. The previews are decent but don’t really suggest inside knowledge. In the main, they seem to have been put together by someone who has done some research. So, they offer a reasonable starting point. Other users can also add in comments below the preview.

After that, we can see the list of how recent tips worked out. For this Betrush review, I counted roughly 50% correct predictions and 50% wrong. On the face of it, those results aren’t too bad. Hovering over each one shows the odds on the bet too.

Most of the successful bets were at pretty short odds. I didn’t see any stand-out successes. It seemed to be more of a case of earning small profits fairly regularly.

Down the side, I could see In Focus. These are links to blogs on their site. They seem to publish about one a day or a bit less some weeks. The subjects are fairly interesting to be fair. But a few more posts would be nice. Some of them are also pretty general filler content about sports betting and offers.

Who Is Behind It?

The Betrush site doesn’t provide a lot of details about the people behind it. They seem to be based in Bulgaria. A couple of forum posters mention the person who is possibly the owner. But I couldn’t see this confirmed anywhere.

They have a Twitter account but with no recent activity. It was started in 2010 but nothing has been posted since 2019. They have just under 1,000 followers. It’s a similar story on Facebook.

It would be nice to know more about the people behind it. This is always a way of feeling more confident about a betting site. However, I guess it’s the tipsters that really matter in this case. Can we find out more about them?

Clicking on a tipster give you details of their stats. You can also see their chosen avatar, which is usually a club badge, favourite player etc. I couldn’t find out anything about the people behind the tips.

Does this lack of transparency matter? It might to some people and not to others. I guess it just depends upon whether you like to know who is giving you tips. Some people have accused this site of using computer-generated tipsters. I can’t confirm or deny this, due to the scant information provided.

How Much Does It Cost?

We have seen in this Betrush review that most tips are free. It seems that they mainly make their money from affiliate fees by sending members to bookie sites.

The Premium Picks section is where you need to subscribe. This costs from €9.90. For this price, you get access to all of their tips.

The €9.90 price is for 7 days of access. 1 month costs €29.90 and 3 months €79.90. 6 months has a price of €149.90.

Will You Make Money?

With so many tips on here, you need to be selective. If you adopt a scattergun approach and select lots of them, you are unlikely to win much.

The key is in finding a method that helps you. An example is if you investigate the tipsters. You might find one that you trust. Perhaps they have a strong record on certain types of bet or game.

Another approach is to use the tips to back up your own feelings. You might have an idea what to bet on. Finding a tipster here for that same game can help you to make up your mind.

A look at the recent picks earlier in this Betrush review suggested a 50% strike rate. I decided to look at a few individual tipsters. Their tip all-time tipsters is called fpicks00 and had a total profit of 1181.3. They have only been sending 1 tip each month in recent times. This means big swings, from a 100% monthly loss to profits over 60%.

Perhaps a better example comes from FollowMe. This is the top tipster in the last month. They have a total of 1066 picks. This has given a yield of +2% and a profit of +242.6 over close to 5 years.

The highest on the list in the last 90 days is franeq. This tipster has over 90 picks to their name. A +17% yield and +136.1 profit is pretty decent. But the sample size is still quite small.

The service has over 700 tipsters just now. If you randomly choose your bets, I reckon you are more likely to lose money than win it. Picking the right tipster could reverse this situation. But it still feels like a bit of guesswork. None of the tipsters really convinced me that they are experts who will consistently win me money.

Their paid tipster service is fairly expensive. They say that it has provided more than 15,000 picks since 2011. It is also said to be “proven profitable”. But no figures are mentioned to back that up.

The Premium Picks are partially hidden until you pay for the service. All you can see is the date of the match and the tipster. When I looked, there was 3 for tomorrow and 2 for the next day.

Also listed are recent wins but not losses. There are usually a few wins each day but it isn’t clear how many bets lose. These picks seem to be mainly on football, from different countries and markets. They say that they only use Pinnacle and the main Asian bookies on these picks.

Most of the listed picks came from tipster abdulalhazred. I had a look at this tipster’s profile. They have a yield of +4% and a profit of +39.1. This is on close to 900 tips over the last year. Average odds are 1.94.

I can’t see anything to justify the price of Premium Picks. They may be more selective than their free tips. But it still feels like a bit of a scattergun approach. They choose fairly low odds, so a reasonably high strike rate is to be expected. There is no clear sign that these are expert tips worth paying for.

How Many Bookies and How Many Sports / Markets Are Included?

The Betrush website confirms that they cover “popular sports as football / soccer, basketball, tennis, hockey and more”. The others include tennis, snooker and UFC.

At the time of this Betrush review, most of the upcoming games are in football. These cover many different leagues and cups around the world. I guess their tipsters come from all over. Which means that it makes sense that they have varied expertise.

In terms of bookies, the home page has a list of 12 of them. They include the likes of Bet365, Betsafe and Rivalo. So it is a mixture of big names and others that aren’t so well-known. Click on “see all” to see a total of over 30 of them.

Presumably, most of their tips use these bookmakers. For this Betrush review I checked out quite a few of them. The only bookie mentioned not on their list appeared to be BetVictor. But clicking on the bet still took me to the bookie’s own site.

They use Pinnacle and Bet365 a lot. I guess this comes down to the tipster’s choices. The paid picks are mainly on Pinnacle who do not ban winning players.

This service has been around for quite a few years now. So I was hoping to see a lot of Betrush reviews. Yet, there isn’t a lot of solid information to go on.

A couple of short, positive reviews don’t go into many details. Other Betrush reviews call it a scam but don’t back it up with any evidence. This is where they even claim the tipsters are computer-generated.

In short, there are no truly independent Betrush reviews. They either swing too much one way or the other. It would have been nice to see someone use the site for a while and track their results.

You don’t want to get gubbed by bookies. This is because it is something that severely restricts your access to offers. The good news is that a tipster service won’t normally get you gubbed.

Only tipsters who reach 4.25 can charge fees. It isn’t clear if this is an automatic switch once they reach this level. I imagine that it is, as the whole thing is automated and pretty slick.

You might want to start by looking at the Free Picks page. As the name suggests, this is where you can find no-cost tips. You won’t be surprised to see a lower level of quality here. Many of the free tipsters are new or have relatively poor records. But you might find something that interests you.

Some have good yields from a small sample size. For example, I can see the user bot4c with a yield of over 13%. But this is from just 4 picks. Anything you choose from this section is going to be a bit of a gamble in terms of quality. You need to see a good sample of 100 – 200 bets before they are worth looking at.

If you look at Pro Picks, you will see the top tipsters on the site. But you will have to pay to get their tips. At the time of writing this Pyckio review, the top tipster’s name is André Cunha (motaliz). He has a rating of 4.78 and a 7.7% yield to date. This tipster looks at football using match odds (1×2), Asian handicap and over/under markets.

Next is Nishi Kori (nishikori) with a 4.7 rating for tennis tips. This tipster has an impressive 8.4% yield right now. Their strategy is to look for value at fairly high odds. They look at markets like 1^st set winner, match odd and over/under.

The third best tipster on here is called Jurgen Tischer (nietzsche). He looks at volleyball, which is something you won’t find many other tipsters for. His yield is 4.6% from over 7,000 picks. Some lower placed tipsters have better yields, but the Pyckio algorithm has rated him higher.

You can go through the full list of Pros in this way. There is a lot of details on each of them. As well as their results, you can see the odds used. The number of bets and types of bet are all listed for each of them too.

So, you won’t want to just choose the first one you see. If you want a good strategy, you need to look more in-depth. This will allow you to see the full details to take into account.

There are a total of 18 tipsters with a rating of over 4 in here. It is in this section that you are likely to make some money. There is no guarantee of this. But these tipsters all have a pretty strong track record.

It isn’t clear how many other people work for them. According to LinkedIn, they have between one and ten members of staff.

How Much Does It Cost?

As we saw earlier in this Pyckio review, free tips are available. However, you might prefer to pay for tips from more proven tipsters. It is really just down to personal preference how you do this.

The charging system is a bit unusual, as you pay for the number of Pro picks. For example, the top-rated Pro charges €1.72 per pick. You are offered packages of 50, 20 or 1,000 picks. This means that the top package costs a whopping €1,723 and a few coins. With an average of about 30 tips a month, this would last you around 3 years, though.

The price falls as you move down the list of Pros. The second placed tipster costs €1.62 per pick and the next one €1.56. The cheapest Pro I could see at the time of the Pyckio review was €0.63 per pick. This for a tipster with a 4.03 rating.

The tipster earns 50% of the revenue that they generate. You can earn this too with your own tips. But you need to move up to the Pro level to do so.

If you select a couple of packages of 1,000 then you get 10% extra on each. You can also change your picks from one tipster to another if you want to, once a month. Picks that are at odds under 1.10 are free to choose.

When a tipster drops below a 3.75 rate they stop being Pro. So you can switch to another tipster with your picks that are left if this happens.

A different option is to sign up for Grand Master tips. Remember that this is the level below Pro. This subscription gives you access to all of the tipsters on this level. One month costs you €257. A yearly subscription is just over €925 at the time of researching this Pyckio review.

Really, there are two possible ways of making money here. The first one is to post your own tips. If you climb up the rankings, you will earn part of the revenue you generate. They encourage tipsters with profiles on other sites to switch over to them too.

Yet, most people will be looking to subscribe to a tipster. The free tips are interesting but it is difficult to see how to make money. Most of these tipsters are unproven or have patchy records. You could lose money just as easily as win it.

The Grand Master selection is pretty expensive. It is going to give you a decent amount of picks. But these aren’t from the site’s best tipsters. It may suit you if you have a lot of time, I guess. You will want to do some research and choose the best picks from here. For some people, it will be just too much hassle and too much time.

Choosing a Pro tipster is the easiest approach. You could simply bet on whatever they tip. These are tipsters with a decent track record. It doesn’t guarantee that you will win, though. Given that each pick costs money, you could struggle to make a profit.

Either way, any profits are likely to vary. Some tipsters can keep up their winning records for a while. But others may suffer big swings in their fortunes. You never know what will happen next.
